ICONIC Seaplanes is committed to providing the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and competent seaplane operations in the ICON A5.

Their mission is to introduce you to the freedom and adventure of the seaplane experience. Explore the historical waterways around the Chesapeake Bay and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fly over Virginia’s foothills and river valleys and learn how to traverse unique river banks and Bay shores.

Services

ICONIC Seaplanes is an ICON Flight Training Partner for the Mid-Atlantic region, located at Jamestown and Smith Mountain Lake Airports in Virginia. Two ICON Authorized Flight Instructors (IAFI) are on staff to support your training and proficiency needs, whether just beginning your flight training experience, or as a current A5 Owner in need of currency reviews and proficiency flying.

Services offered:

• Currency / Reviews / Safety refreshers
• A5 Discovery flights (Introduction to seaplane flying)
• A path towards a Sport Pilot License (SPL) or Private Pilot License (PPL) through our partner flight school
• ICON A5 Transition courses; open to A5 owners AND the general public
• FAA Single Engine Sea add-on rating
