VACAVILLE, Calif., – April 17, 2023 – ICON Aircraft, maker of the revolutionary ICON A5 Light Sport Aircraft, has named Glenn Ford as SVP of Manufacturing Operations. He brings over 40 years of aerospace leadership experience at leading companies such as Sikorsky Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, Aurora Flight Sciences, Phoenix Mfg, the USAF and B&E Precision Aircraft Components.
He has personal hands-on experience in three start-up businesses and has worked in both large and small businesses. He has practical experience on several airframes such as M/CH-53E, MH-60K, S-70CM-1, S-70C-6, F-22, C-141 and C-5 aircraft.
In this role, Ford will oversee all manufacturing operations, final assembly, quality control, and aircraft certification compliance at ICON. He will also focus on ensuring a best-in-class experience at the company’s service facilities.

Ford will be based out of ICON’s company headquarters in Vacaville, CA, overseeing the ICON operations at both the VCB Final Assembly Center and the Composites Manufacturing Facility in Tijuana, MX.
