Giving Wings Aviation is committed to providing the skills and knowledge necessary for safe and competent seaplane operations in the ICON A5.

Set on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay, Giving Wings Aviation is the perfect location for anyone interested in becoming a seaplane pilot in the ICON A5, or simply exploring what it feels like to fly one of the most unique aircraft in General Aviation.

Services

Giving Wings Aviation is an ICON Flight Training Partner for the Upper Midwest, located at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, MI . Three ICON Authorized Flight Instructors (IAFI) are on staff to support your training and proficiency needs, whether you’re just beginning your flight training experience, or are a current A5 Owner in need of currency reviews and proficiency flying.

Services offered:

• ICON A5 Dual Instruction (Currency / Reviews / Safety refreshers)
• A5 Discovery flights (Introduction to seaplane flying)
• A path towards a Sport Pilot License (SPL) or Private Pilot License (PPL)
• ICON A5 Transition courses; open to A5 owners AND the general public
• FAA Single Engine Sea add-on rating
• In-house Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)
